Upromise Guest Shopping

Hello all,

Back in 2003, before I met my amazing wife and started a family. I came across a brochure for Upromise while working Staples at the time. I visited the website and joined shortly there after. Whats great about this site is it allows me to earn money back form shopping online, from groceries, at a gas pump, or eating out. Since I joined, I have gained a good amount back and I can use it to pay for Williams college. Because Upromise partners with hundreds of participating brands, there are lots of ways to earn and save money. I would like to pass these savings to you through my Upromise guest shopping area. With your help, I can earn over two times more back.

Williams New outfit

Hello all,

Well, I have today off from work at CVS, so I get to spend the day at home with my son. He is such an active boy and he always keeps me on the move. So I am looking forward to a fun day reading books, playing with lots of toys, and maybe do some painting. He gets so excited when he gets to paint and color. It looks like he got his painting skills from me. I will be posting his artwork soon. I will have some errands to do though, so we will be getting out of the house for a little bit at least.

My son is growing up fast and he has such a personality. We have left bottles behind and are now on to sippy cups, he wants to try and feed himself with a spoon, my wife tells me he tries to dress himself, and we are at the point when clothes are either to small or to big. In fact my wife spent the day yesterday taking out clothes that didn't fit anymore.

All I have to say is that life has never been the same since my son was born. And he continues to amaze me everyday with all that he does. There is never a dull moment, even when he gets fussy. I think we are entering the terrible twos stage, but my wife tells me we have been in this stage for a while. My wife mentioned that she wanted to get the book The Happiest Toddler on the Block: The New Way to Stop the Daily Battle of Wills and Raise a Secure and Well-Behaved One- to Four-Year-Old.

Well it's time for me to go and spend some time playing with my son. I will be posting soon.

Anonymous Encouragers

Life is great and I could not ask for anything more in my life except words of encouragement. Thats why I like to listen to K-love on the radio. The other day while I was listening to the K-love radio, they talked about Anonymous Encouragers. I thought the idea of sending encouring letters to people you don't know in the mail was great idea and have begun being a part of it myself. Check out the site and see for yourself what I am talking about.

Toy Story 3

Hello all,

Since William was born, me nor my wife have had a chance to go the movies, so we always end up waiting till a good movie was on dvd to watch it. Within the last few months though, we have been thinking about taking William to the movies for the first time. But we were not sure how he would do. Especially since every time we wanted to go, he was either fussy, tired, or it was just to late in the day. We were planning on going last week, but we also wanted to take William to the Circus also. After 20 minutes of figuring out what to do, we decided to go to the circus instead and then to the movies the following week.

So today we finally took William to the movies for the first time. William was really excited while we drove to the movie theater, but I think the excitement was more about being out of the house. When we got there, I took him with me to get a drink and some popcorn. While mama had to ran back outside to get  a diaper,  some wipes, and baby snacks that were left in car. When we got to our seats, William sat in between us and was so amazed at the big screen. He chatted a lot as he pointed at everything and went nuts once we gave him some  popcorn.

Toy Story 3 was a great movie and William really enjoyed going. We only had trouble towards the end of the movie, when he got a little  restless and did not want to sit still anymore. He was ready to explore and play. In the end he did pretty good for the first time. So hopefully there will be another good movie coming out soon, so we can take him again.

A new school year is around the corner

Hello everyone,

Hope all is well, another week is almost over, which means I have only couple more weeks until I go back to work at school. I have been trying to get myself back to a school schedule by waking up early, but I continue to keep hitting that snooze button. I am not a morning person and I like to sleep in. So now it's crunch time.

I really looking forward to this school year though, since I will be working at new high school in American Canyon; that's opening for the first time. The school was built on 55 acres and is a modern state of the art high school. It was also made to handle 2200 students, but for right now they have only 600 freshmen and 600 sophomores going this year. So it won't be to crazy on campus.

Traffic is going to be a slight problem along the 29 with the new school traffic though. I read an article in the Napa Register that talks about an upcoming town meeting where they will discuss the any traffic issues, timing of the signal lights, bus routes and the sort. The article did mention that the city and the school district have discussed installing count down pedestrian signals along hwy 29  and American Canyon Road by the end of the year. So hopefully traffic won't get worse then it already is.

On a side note I am waiting for my application to be processed, so that I can get my career and technology credential. Which will allow me to teach at any adult school in California. Then my next step will be to finish the last section of the CBEST. So I am really looking forward to that.

Well it is time for me to say goodnight and I will be posting soon, until then happy surfing.

Gone to the circus

Hello everyone,

It has been another great weekend, even though I had to work yesterday. But we did take William to the circus (Circus Vargus) for the first time today. I thought that the circus was pretty good and William had lots of fun, but it was not what I was expecting. It had lots of cool acts like the globe of death, trapeze, bungees, juggling, and clowns. Though there was only one clown and it seemed as if he was there to kill time in between each acts, the acts went by pretty quickly, it was a bit loud at times, and there was no animals. How can you have a circus without lots of clowns or animals? The clown was pretty funny at times though. The one thing I though was pretty cool was that for the globe of death there was a 8 year old that rode his motorcycle inside it. Apparently he holds a world record since the age of four. My wife said that next time she has to take me to a circus in Mexico. So I am looking forward to that.

Sadly Sunday is drawing to a close and that means a new work week. I will be doing my last summer camp for Mad Science teaching Robotics. The kids get to build a robot that moves to any sound throughout the week as they learn about electricity, circuits, and other neat stuff. So I am looking forward a great camp this week. Hope all is well for everyone and I will posting more soon.
