Hope all is well. I know its been a while since I updated my blog with news on baby William. These last few weeks have been really busy with family visiting. I was planning on writing a couple blogs on appointments Yissel went to and the weekly fetal development, but baby William beat us to it. Today we were discharged from the hospital and since I have a couple minutes of quite time (I should be taking a nap, haven't had much sleep in three days) I though I might give everyone an update...
On 4/6/09 Yissel gave birth to beautiful baby boy William Ezekiel Timpano. He weighs 8 pounds and is 21 inches. When he was born they allowed Yissel to spend the first hour having skin to skin contact with baby William. After that I got to cut the umbilical cord. As I was doing it I felt a little nervous and it took me three cuts, since I was being very careful. After that they cleaned him, gave him some shots, looked him over before we went over to the post delivery room. Where we have been for the last three days. During that time there were so many doctors and nurses coming in the room to do all kinds on check ups to make sure Yissel and William were doing okay, which they are. Yissel is feeling just a little sore, but I know she is going to be fine. I going to make sure she rest a lot and help her get better.
William is a great baby, he isn't very fussy, except when something cold touches him. These last couple days he has been sleeping a lot, but today he was more awake and alert. All I can say is that God has blessed us with a precious gift and it has been an amazing experience. Here are some pictures of baby William.
